Welcome to my Europa construction site!My name is Pat Tunney and I started building my Europa in late 2001. My background is in mechanical engineering which started of in Manufacturing and service on to petrochem and currently involves power generation.After reading all the reports on the mono and its ground handling I decided that the Tri-gear was the way forward for my self. Due to work commitments and lack of a suitable workshop build progress has been slow, however with help from others and the build of a workshop things are now starting to come to shape. This web site has been set up to give very basic information and images on the build progress and I help its of use to other builders who find as I have that an image makes all the difference when you are struggling with a section of the manual. My end of year target is to have the aircraft on its wheels with the engine hung, however any progress is good and I have come to realize that in the Europa world a 2hr job is usually a 4hr job. The aircraft is based in south Manchester, if any body wishes to view the real thing. |
