The standard Europa fuel level gauge was not my preferred option, so i decided to incorporate two magnetic type float senders, similar to the Europa Factory mod option.

I looked hard at the Europa Factory installation procedure and thought that installation over the top of a seam in the tank was not the best idea for reliable sealing and i also wanted to have the flexibility of easily removing the senders without any major work.

With trial fits of the tank and some careful measuring i managed to house the senders on a flat portion of the tank which would still allow me to remove the senders through the cockpit module head rest.

A manufactured stainless bracket was used to clamp home the top attachment plate which allows the sender to be screwed in to it.

The benefits of having two senders are that as the fuel level drops you can switch between both senders to ensure both are working correctly. The panel will incorporate a single VDO gauge and a main and reserve selector switch.

The images below shows the tank prior to installation with the two attachment plates and a view of the float from one of the senders taken through the other attachment plate.

The next  images shows the cockpit module stood up with the access holes for the tops of the fuel senders and an image of the sender measuring 14.5"

The next pair of images shows the top of the fuel senders through the port and starboard headrests.
